How I Use AI to Fuel My Marketing as a Founder

Let’s be honest—marketing can feel like a full-time job.
As a nonprofit founder, IEC, and coach, I’m already managing a packed schedule. And yet, marketing is essential to growth. Whether I’m creating a landing page, writing a LinkedIn post, or planning a launch, I need to communicate clearly, consistently, and with heart.

That’s where AI comes in.

I don’t use AI to replace my voice—but I do use it to help me show up more regularly, test new ideas, and get out of my own way. It’s like having a creative assistant who never gets tired of brainstorming, repackaging content, or helping me say what I meant to say.

Here’s how I use AI to support my marketing—and how you can too.

From Idea to Execution: Where AI Fits in My Marketing Process

Whether you're running a business, managing a brand, or juggling multiple roles, marketing tasks can easily fall to the bottom of your list. Here’s how I use AI to move things forward faster without sacrificing quality:

1. Brainstorming Content Ideas

Sometimes I’ll ask ChatGPT something simple like:

  • “Give me 10 post ideas about resilience for first-gen professionals.”

  • “What are common objections people might have to joining a group coaching program?”

  • “What questions could I ask on Instagram Stories to get my audience talking?”

These prompts help me generate lists, uncover angles I hadn’t considered, and break through content fatigue.

2. Writing and Polishing Captions, Emails, and Web Copy

AI is amazing for getting over the “blank page” hurdle. I often paste in a rough voice memo or idea and ask it to help shape the language. I also use it to:

  • Draft compelling LinkedIn posts

  • Write email subject lines and preview text

  • Clean up Instagram captions to sound more natural or emotionally resonant

  • Turn speaking points into blog post intros or landing page copy

It’s not about perfection—it’s about starting faster and editing smarter.

3. Generating FAQs, Sales Pages, and Webinar Scripts

I use AI to create structured marketing assets that I can then personalize. It helps me:

  • Outline a landing page in 5 minutes

  • Generate thoughtful FAQs for new offerings

  • Organize talking points for upcoming presentations or virtual events

  • Pull key ideas from transcripts and repurpose them into multiple formats

This makes launching new programs or updating copy much less overwhelming.

Keeping It Authentic: Tips for Using AI Without Losing Your Voice

The biggest mistake people make with AI marketing?
Letting it sound like… well, a robot.

Here’s how I keep my content mine:

  • I always add a personal anecdote or insight. That’s what creates connection.

  • I revise the tone to sound like how I talk. Casual, honest, slightly thoughtful.

  • I use my own metaphors, turns of phrase, or humor. AI can’t replicate your lived experience.

  • I treat AI like a collaborator, not a copywriter. It supports my creativity—it doesn’t replace it.

You Don’t Have to Do Marketing Alone

Marketing is easier when you have the right tools—and the right mindset. AI won’t give you your “why,” but it can help you say it with more clarity, more ease, and more consistency.

Start by giving yourself permission to ask for help—even if that help looks like a chat box.

And if you’re feeling stuck, I’d love to support you. I help purpose-driven founders and consultants simplify their message, create content that converts, and build a marketing approach that actually fits their life. (You can learn more about my coaching here).
